Hi everybody, great forum, I have learned a lot reading the posts. I couldn't find an answer to my problem in the archives, so here goes. My 83 300SD of two weeks that my wife drives (she thinks it's hers) :p has an air conditioner/climate control fan that has a mind of it's own. It only works when it wants too. I bought new brushes for the fan and installed them and that didn't fix it. I thought it might be the blower switches, so I tested the switch and I had continuity there. I checked the voltage on the box where the switch assembly plugs in and I had 12 Volts at the box going to the switches. I checked the plug down at the fan and I didn't have any power there. So somewhere between the switches and the fan I lose my power sometimes. I also checked the fuse box and I have a temperature problem with the two silver boxes that are located in the fuse box. They are almost too hot to touch. I don't know what those boxes do yet, or if they are related to my current problem, but I wouldn't think they should run that hot. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance Tom
