Unhappy 95 S320 gauges dead

Hey Guys,
This one has me a little confused. I disconnected the battery to charge it and when I reconnected the cables the gauges are dead and every warning light in the dash is on continuously. I tried the steering wheel left to right trick to no avail. Is there anything else I need to know? I can set the code for the radio fine. I tried disconnecting the negative terminal for 10 minutes -no good. The analog gauges are just completely dead. It has the OBDII connector under the driver side dash. All fuses are good and it starts and runs fine. I am a competent mechanic on the domestic stuff but this is a little different. I am trying all I can to get this fixed before I have to trailer it to the dealer for something that is probably obvious (or not). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
