Go ahead and replace it. I had the "infamous" high idle with my 380 SE and tried re-soldering the joints but to no avail. Replaced the other "infamous" symptoms (OV relay) plus cleaned the idle valve and that didn't do it either. I thought I would wear out a set of brake pads trying to stop with such a high idle. Finally I replaced the control unit and .... peace at last!
