Late Hard Shifting w/ my E320
Alright - I recently got my '97 E320 back from a solid indie - all tuned up from it's 90K check-up which included tranny fluid and filter.
If I shift from revese to drive, with the car close to being warmed up, (55C to 58C) it drops hard into 2nd gear and holds onto 2nd gear up to @4500 RPM. Then it shifts real hard into 3rd gear. It certainly doesn't appear to be the emissions (which normally shifts at 3200 rpm). This only happens when the engine is just below 60C. If the engine is fully warmed, no problem. Thoughts please, oh wise ones. Wrong fluid? Sensor? What do you think?????
