I have a '99 W210 which has the electronic key. I've seen people with the same electronic keys but with a chrome/silver star logo instead of the regular embossed logo on my key. Is this new for models after '99 or only on similar models? How can I get a key like that?

I think that started in '00. A freind has a '00 c230 and it has the chrome star. Much nicer looking key with that small addition. I wonder if the casing can be bought seperately and then you could swap the electronics. The whole thing would be expensive I would think. I am goig to check this out.
