ETR Sensor
For a 560 SEL, the ETR Sensor part number is 126 830 11 72, though it is labeled as a "ETR Switch." For some reason, the 126 CD also refers to a ETR switch. This is not a switch; it is a probe or sensor with a 45 degree cant, fitting into the box above and to the right of the gas pedal. The CD section for the 560SEL, describing removal of the ETR Switch is not what I want.
Before I undertake disassembly of more than is necessary, would someone please tell me where the female plug is located that receives the male plug at the end of the 12" wire formed into the ETR sensor described above. The wiring under the dash is so neatly bundled, I cannot see where the ETR pigtail is connected. |

What you have ISN'T the ETR but the heater box temp sensor right behind the push-button controls!
THE ETR is a switch & is located behind the air duct that feeds the passenger outside A/C duct. MB part number 003-820-24-10.
