battery water tip?
kind of a basic question, but I need to add some distilled water to my OEM mercedes battery. I see the MIN and MAX marks on the outside of the battery and if I get the placement right can see the water level in the cells through the case with battery removed from car.
Anyone have a tip for adding the water to the right level without removing the battery from the car? |

Though I have a self-leveling filler (fills to the correct level then shuts the supply off) it really does not work well with the battery in the car. I prefer to fill them out of the car so if I make a mistake, it does not accumulate on or under the battery tray. Someone with more Benz experience may have answers to your specifi vehicle (didn't notice that you posted it).

You hold a small flashlight lens right against the case at each cell..you will then see the line cuased by the light refraction.......
