97 E320 Blower Conversion Question

Hello, I am changing my blower motor on my 97 E320 from the original type to the "newer" updated style. I have the blower and I am hunting around for the regulator. Because it appears that the regulator mounts differently than the original type, is there a procedure or description as to where the newer style regulator mounts? Thanks Eric

There are a few other parts required when doing this update. The plastic plate under the blower is updated, and a small section of wiring harness.

Is the plastic plate the cover plate for the fan housing? Also, the fan I have has wiring with it. It appears to plug into the same plug as the original and has a separate female three opening plug and a single black wire with a clip on the end. Does this sound like the newer wiring needed? Thanks Eric

Yes, sounds like you are on the right track. The plate I am talking about is like the "bottom cover" under the blower.
