Euro Headlight brighter

I have recently accquired Euro headlights for my 300SEL and will be installing them with the information provided by members on the forum.
Many threads talk about brighter lighting with the Euro headlights. I have a dumb question what is the reason.

I dont understand what your question is. Are you asking why people would want brighter european headlights? The answer is quite simple - because brighter is better.

Its like horsepower. You always want to find a way to make more.

The reason is the nature of the lens and the size and quality of the reflector. The Euro units are just better made.

The plastic housing on the USA/Can version can not handle higher wattage (brighter) bulbs, as they will melt it.

the euro lights also focus the light better. the US lights kind of scatter it everywhere while the Euro lights concentrate it where you need it.
