4 Shock choice

If I remember right I originally had Blistien shocks on the car. 3 years ago I replaced all 4 with SACs. Ever since I have not been happy with the ride comfort of the car. Planning to change them again. People who have been there, can you suggest your experience. Should I put back Blistiens which were OE with the car. Boge are available for a much lesser price. Looking for the comfortable ride.

Thanks

Sandeep

Mercedes uses different vendors from time to time on their OEM struts and shocks. Sachs/Boge were OEM for many models, as were Bilstein. Your best bet is to get a set of Bilstein Comforts.

They both offer different ride alternatives. In the US there is a widely held perception that Bilstein is the higher quality and will last longer. A friend in Germany tells me that is not the case there - that they are considered equals. If you are unhappy with Sachs I would say spend a little more and get the Bilsteins Comforts.

Go with Bilstein comforts I just put a set on my W126 and couldn't be more happy. Their worth the extra money.
