LH VSS Z connector Z88 wire color GN/WH, RH VSS Z connector Z89 wire color GN both located in the front rocker panel passenger side.
The wires of the same colors come from the ETS SPS control module N47-2.

VSS means traction system speed sensor wires! There is a sensor at each wheel!

I would think aftermarket navigation system.
Didn;t the car come with speed sensitive volume control? if so then would it be a possibility that it is in the radio harness then? Alon

I'm trying to hook up an aftermarket nav system. specifically it's the Pioneer Avic-N1. So the VSS wire might be on the radio harness?

Sportline93 is trying to help me get the navigation portion of my Pioneer Avic-N1 sorted out. The installer said that since there is a speed sensor at each wheel I would need an adapter. What me and Sportline were wondering was if there was a single wire that the navigation could be plugged into like the speed dependent volume control or something. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Axe and Sportline:
Yes, you should have a VSS wire going into the radio. Not 100% sure of ID'ing the wire, but Steve has it spec'd out as a green or green with white stripe. I am suspecting it will be socket #1, so see if any of that makes sense to you, or you can try to find the connector that Steve ID'd for you. If it's easier for you to catch the signal at the radio itself, and you want to be more careful, you can ask if Steve can check his wiring diagrams for specific VSS info into the radio. Hopefully this signal will work for you, I'm pretty sure it's just used for dead reckoning anyways for when a Sat isn't available (such as in tunnels and parking ramps). Gilly PS the connector I am suspecting would be the smaller of the 2 wiring connectors, not the big "double" connector for the speakers. Check the wiring colors, if you see a green, or green with white stripe, on one end or the other (#1), I'd bet that's the one.
