How to check if the Heater Motor (blower?) is Ok?
I can not turn on a fan from a climate control unit. |

disconnect connection at fan motor and check to see if you have power. if you do, fan has probably gone south. You can rebuild but a pain to do so.

The fuse is fine.
Where should I "disconnect connection at fan motor and check to see if you have power"? How can I reach it? From under a hood or from inside? Please, give some details. Tnx. |

mine is located under the dash, passengers footwell, electrical conection is obvious.
Yours may run first to a fan or temp regulator box, in either case varrious points can be tested. If yours is different from above set up locate fan housing and look for connection there. good luck |

Check the blower fuse first -- it's in a little black snap-top box on the left shock tower, an aluminum strip with two phillips screws holding it down. Probably cracked across from flexing with heat, costs about forty cents.

Does anyone knows for sure where 260E has the blower(fan) wires and how to reach them? Can I see them if I remove a climate control unit? Does those wires have a color code? Tnx. |
