W124 seat spring source.
Has anyone ever even heard a wisper about W124 seat springs outside the
dealer network? I love the German cousins , but $230.00 for a spring sounds like an American defense contractor's price to Lockheed for the infamous $600.00 toilet seat. Could the dealers in Deutschland sell them at a more reasonable price? How about some of the "Former Soviet Citizens"? |

The drivers seat spring and the passenger's are, I believe, identical. The trick would be to check out the passenger side seats in a junkyard. Or you could use tennis balls or do the pool noodle trick mentioned on this Forum or find the broken parts and crimp and/or weld them back as they were before.

Thanks
R.E.,
Thank you. I was hoping against hope that there would be some covert access to the NEW springs. Someone on the Forum has posted pictures of his before and after prior to installation + the NEW springs are definetly Beefier. |
