Why is my stick hard in the morning?

Lately the stick has been really hard to move from Park down the gate to Drive. It feels like there's sticky syrup down there. After driving for a little bit it loosens up, but not to where it used to be. The shifter bushings were replaced about 3 years ago.

Get your minds out of the gutter. Happy Holidays.

TIA,

Craig

Normally a little lipstick on the gearstick will soften things up.

Actually in my case, it gets the gearstick hard or if it is hard, it keeps it hard. However, in the end, it gets soft and sticky.

Pu a picture of the fattest ugliest naked woman you can find in front of the shifter. That should keep it soft for you in the morning!
