2001 S500 code C1201

What is code C1201 on a 2001 s500. My BAS lite & ESP lite are on@ times. Brought to mercedes want 2nd opinion.

That code means that the BAS sensor on the vacuum brake booster is defective.
Requires replacement of the booster. MB number 005-430-25-30 with a list of $420. takes 2.5-3 hrs to replace.

i responded to a previous post that mentioned adjusting the brake lamp switch as being out of adjustment. the info is from wis. the file was too large to post, so i put it in a zip file. below you will find a link to the other post that contains the zip file. when you open it you may need to maximize the picture to read it. it basically says when the code C1201 is stored to adjust the switch, due to the high failure of the brake lamp switch i recommend to replace it as well as adjust it. it has to be alot cheaper that the entire booster.
for those of you that have WIS it is document number:AF42.45-U-8002A
