ETS Warning light?

Sitting at a traffic light Saturday and all of a sudden a beep and "Electronic Traction System" lights up in the dash along with ABS light and ETS light. Now it comes on every start up and the ABS ETS lights stay on all the time.

Haven't had time to look for the owners manual. Don't know any info would be in there.

Anyone have any ideas as to where I need to start looking . . .

If you don't give us the year & model of your car, we will take you in the torture chamber & beat it out of you.

Thank you for pointing out my stupidity . . . I feel much better now (duh!)
I can't type and think at the same time, I tend to fall down.

1996 E320 (inline 6), W210 I think. I think it's at about 180k mi or so.

This is the first gasser we've owned the other 3 were diesels. Lots of new glitches and tweaks. (I'm so confused . . .)

You may want to do a search. ( Brake switch, brakelight switch, etc. )
Possibly even under " BAS/ESP ".
Could be related to the brake switch ( at the pedal assembly ).

If your cruise control stopped working at the same time, it's a good bet it's the brake switch.
