It could be the blower regulator. If you look above the booster you should see 3 wires. I think you want to maybe check the yellow one for power? Do a search on "blower regulator" and you'll find what you need. I had the same symptoms on my dad's 300E. In fact, I have a blower motor I bought from a junkyard for $50. It's yours for $35. You could pay me when I deliver the SD if you wish. The blower cage is broken though. It was fine until is rode around in the trunk for too long and got rather beat up. The fan works though and I think it's out of a '94 400E/E420, (I'd have to check to be sure, but it's newer). It still fits because I placed it in my dad's just out of curiosity.
Thanks
David

Hey,

My blower motor gave up on me about 1 month ago. I just ordered a new blower and used the old cages. Saved me about $150 doing it that way. Soon as I hooked up the new blower it worked just fine.

The blower motor took me about 3 hours to replace. I am pretty slow though.

blower motor

Where did you get just the blower motor (without cages). My W202 needs a new blower motor, but I don't want to pay the $200 for a new one.

Thanks!

You can get the motor without fans from Fastlane by clicking above.

That's what I did, and it was a pain and challenge. The fans are really easy to destroy if you're not careful. To pull them off the shafts I used three jaw puller and cut a slot in a body washer so that I could slip the washer over the shaft and then hook the puller to the washer to pull against the small hub of the fan. It worked for me okay, except it added alot of time to changing the motor.

Good luck,

Blower motor parts

Thanks Larry (Bible), I searched Fastlane and could only come up with the complete blower motor for $274. I searched using the year, model etc. Is there another way to find the blower motor only ? (95 C-280)

Thanks again!

Larry L.
