radar detectors

anyone familiar with the latest valentine 1 detector and its POP feature?
how widely used are the instant on guns ( MPH Industries Enforcer / BEE III ) that this modified Valentine1 detects?

I love my Valentine 1, I bought it back in May 04. I put a lot of miles each year and I love having it.

check out www.radarbusters.com and other sites.

I have a Valentine, and am considering their upgrade program for my seven year old Valentine.

For me radar detectors provide a great service, lots of times a simple radar unit is all a police officer is using. Jammers are an iffy proposition, Rockey Mountain Radar was selling some sham units for a long time, so I wouldn't be confident the jammer I purchased was a refined dependable product.

I went to school in Virginia and spent many an afternoon lounging on Mr. Jefferson's little mountain. I predict Mr. Jefferson would drive a VW Touareg in dark burgundy with a killer stereo. He'd have a Valentine 1 on the dash. his edict would be. `I want to know who is observing me, to suggest I own a Valentine 1 to break speed laws is an erroneous conclusion, microWAVE the flag to all motorist.` stupid but I'm bored.

I have a V1, 6 months old, and it saved me several times. I usually drive the S600, or the 911...... and both rather quickly.
I drove the wifes Grand cherokee into the city yesterday and felt naked without it.
FYI - Before the V1, I got several tickets within a year, none yet with the V1!!

I am a Virginia resident who has had and used detectors for many years, and I have no guilt about breaking Virginia's statute.

My first was the original Escort, which was designed by Mr. Valentine. My current is a V1.

Considering the current cost of tickets and likely insurance increases, the risk of using the detector is well worth it. If caught, the fine is minimal and there are no points. Doh!!
