anit roll/sway bars material?
 

hi all,

I am going to make some anti roll bars for my 16v, i'm thinking 28mm front and 18mm rear. I have a friend who can bend them up for me....

I just wanted to check what material to use, I guessed steel rod of some sort but wanted to check what anti roll bars are usually made from?

also, what are peoples opinions n 28front/18rear.....too big, too small, just right?

I'm not sure, but I would imagine they're made of medium carbon plain steel that is subsequently heat treated (quenched and tempered) to a medium hardness for fatigue resistance.

Try calling Scorpion Racing on 02082114888 they make up special bars for Rangerover etc they may tell you where to start or even make them up for you. Regards Linds
