Driver door short

When opening the driver door on my 91 420sel,the dome light dont come on,and thememory seat control dont work.I suspect that there is a short on the power supply that comes from somewhere behind dash siince i pull too hard on that wire while fixing something else.my ohm meter tells me there is a problem with that wire. How can I fix this whitout having to take the all dash apart?

Do you meen that the fuse is blowing and the ohm meter sayes there is continuity from that wire to ground? or do you mean that sence you pulled on it the fuse is ok and the ohm meter is telling you that there is open loop from the power sorce to the point in the wire you are testing like it may be inpluged?
Also keep in mind that those two non working idems may share the same ground location.

Have you tried the search function? Sounds like a bad diode in a relay, I just can't remember which one right now. I know these symptoms have been tossed out for discussion many times, always comes down to a bad relay. I'll try to remember which one...you try the search.
