I would like to suggest that instead of going to a dealer and spending $6, that you go to a junkyard and unscrew one from there. Usually the ones from the back doors are in the best shape. I have also found that a knob from a '71 250S looks the same as the knob on my '94 E420.
The PO of the 420 also had some sort of critter with tiny little needle teeth that appeared to have a penchant for the doorlock knobs.
