Seatbelt Warning Light Remains ON
1989 300E
Would anyone be able to advise me as to the cause of this condition. The seatbelt warning light above the rearview mirror remains on all the time. Even if I engage all 5 sets of seatbelts, the light does not turn off at all. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Keen,
Try removing the battery cable for a few minutes. Many times this will unclog the microchip in the dome light assy. I have had to replace a few dome light assy. for this probem.

Thank you for your response. I disconnected the battery several times and even overnight but to no avail. Would there be any other causes for this situation? Again, thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to offer.
