front control bushings, other susp quest, w140
I am working on the suspension on my 93 500sel.
I have some replacement front control arm bushings. They are part # 140-333-05-15, which no one can seem to locate. I am under the impression that the latest model of these bushings are "liquid filled", and improved from the units that I have... Also, what are the "recommended" parts for a complete suspension rebuild. I am thinking (front): 2x upper control arms (are there kits or do I have to replace the arms?) sway bar bushings 2x lower control arm kits 2x tie rods 2x ball joints idler arm rebuild drag link steering damper 2x sway bar links 2x shock absorbers (rear): 2x tie rods 2x camber rods 2x thrust struts 2x outer control arm bushings sway bar bushing kit Should I replace any subframe bushings? Are there any "additional" adjustment kits? (When we did the alignment several months ago, we could barely get it into spec. I see there are several eccentric kits for the rear arms, but I think these might all be the same as stock (not adding any additional adjustment). Any other guidance would be appreciated. Thanks -David 92 500sel 86 560sel 85 535i 92 ZX11 |
