Whinning sound from my ML - Cooold Start

Its about 20 dgrs in NYC, getting a whining sound that lasts about 3-4 minutes after starting then goes away completley. If i turn the wheel in either direction, the sound gets a bit louder untill its well warmed up. Any feedback

Cool

The Pwr/steering reservoir has a built-in filter. If the filter is bad you will get groaning noises from that system. I would suggest replacement of that reservoir, MB number 000-460-01-83! to start with.
