Well, I really did it yesterday. I was trying to get the front glass lens off my right side (when looking at it) DEPO headlight without actually removing the headlight from the car, because one of the screws to remove it is right next to a plastic air intake duct, and it is a really pita to get out. If you are familiar with the DEPO lights (and probably most other versions of the euro lights as well), you'll know that on the headlight lens itself there are four (2 on top, 2 on bottom) sloped plastic pieces (I really don't know what to call them), that attach the lens to the rest of the headlight. I got the lens off of three of these four pieces no problem, but I snapped one of the bottom ones off. Now the lens is a little loose on the bottom and I am worried that I am going to get water in there. Any opinions on what I can do to correct this? Anyone know of a REALLY strong glue for plastic? There is probably not enough area where the clip actually attaches for a glue to get a good hold, but I could try it. What about siliconing the bottom and just ripping the silicone off if I ever need to remove the lens again? Anyone know what a new DEPO lens would run me or where I could find one (last resort)?
More than anything I'm just really PO'd that I even broke it because I was trying to cut corners and in the end I created more work for myself. Last time I'll do that.
