Dealer says Bosch part# 006 545 64 32. Are there other preceeding versions that are equal?

ecu
the epc i have shows only one number for that year model, the numer 006-545-64-32 is for federal and canadian models, however there are two numbers for california models, i cannot say with any certainty what the differences between the california and federal models will be. here are the numbers for the california models.
006-545-58-32 that was replaced by 008-545-16-32 Ray mercedessd@cox.net |

I went through this when I replaced mine.
I called Bosch and they told me which numbers would work in my car. The ECU I replaced mine with had a different part #. Part is also called the ECM by some. I would suggest buying USED from car-part.com. A new one is over $1,000, you know.
