Fuse Problem
The following items stopped working:
Central Locking system, Radio Antenna Rear inside light Fuse looked good. Changed it anyways. Everything starting working. This particular fuse type is open to the environment, it can look good but replacing it is a good first step before going into detailed diagnosis.

Yes, sometimes an otherwise good looking fuse may develop a small crack that would otherwise be impossible to see at first yet still not allow current to flow.

.. It is usually not the fuse itself, but the connection at the holder end .. a trick whenever one suspects power feed to any system is to give the fuses a few twist in their holder..
. better yet, use the glass SS replacements.. they do not seem to suffer this problem. I hear both pro/con of each, but I personally have never had good luck with the open fuse concept.. I could not count the cars I fixed with a simple twist of a fuse... |
