Replaced alternator
I replaced the alternator and charged-up the battery, before starting. After starting, at idle, the voltage across the battery terminals was 14.46v to 14.5v. Drove her 200km no problems.
The new alternator came with a pulley for 2 belts. I tried to put it on, but the old belt was too short. I took the pulley off the old alternator and put it onto the new alternator. The belt was tight, but went on with the help of a screw driver. Thanks all for your help.

The Final Answer - Maybe
I was curious as to why an alternator would stop working after 1.5 yrs. especially a premium rebuilt from Bosch. I suspected a high current drain. Today I pulled the blower motor. After removing the motor from the fan assembly, I could barely turn the shaft. I tried the new blower motor and it was quite easy to turn. I'll get an amp meter next week, to see exactly how many amps to old one is using. I'm thinking the old blower motor was draining too many amps for the alternator, and when the lights, radio, seat heaters, and rear window defogger were on, all of it was too much for the alternator. But why wouldn't a fuse blow?
