codes :PO 410 and PO 130

I have a 97 e class 320 with the following OBDII codes: PO 410 and PO 130. The car starts fine and runs but even on short trips it will start to run rough and then smooth back out. At first I thought it was bad gas or a bad fuel or air filter, but I replaced all three with no better result. In fact the problem is getting worse. The 410 code came on first but I could hear the air pump and when I reset the code it didn't come back on for quite some time and now it's on with the 130 and the intermittent rough running. The car has 130k miles. Any help would be appreciated. I have some experience with other "fixes" on this car, like the window motors and rear sunscreen...typical stuff, but this has me snowed.
Thanks,
Ken

According to my source, PO 130 is an Oxygen sensor code.
Since that would be related to PO 410, & considering the mileage of your car, you may want to " invest " in an O2 sensor.

The codes are almost certainly related. P0410 indicates a malfunction of the Air Injection System. P0130 points to the O2 sensor before the catalytic converter (TWC). This O2 sensor is the one used to monitor the Air Injection function. When the air pump runs, it pumps fresh air into the exhaust stream. The O2 sensor percieves this as a lean condition and the voltage changes accordingly(it should drop to approx. 0V). As O2 sensors age they can lose the ability to reach their voltage limits. I'll bet the P0410 is being caused by the O2 sensor not performing to it's fullest. For what it's worth I've seen this dozens of times. Of course there's always the possibility that you have two separate issues, but the O2 sensor is the likely culprit. Let us know how it turns out.

Before checking the 02 sensor , it is a good idea to make sure the AIR pump is coming on.
If it does not engage , the 02 can not sens the lean condition it is looking for..
Could be a simple vac hose leak at pump SOV or even a pump clutch blown fuse...
