Replacement of SRS Control Module
Car is 1997 E320. I have appointment with dealer to pull codes on SRS that is showing a warning light. The light goes out just for a split second as the car is started and then comes back on. If dealer say SRS control module is bad, I'd like to buy from the sponsor above and have my mechanic replace.
However, Phil says that the unit will require some programming after installation and my mechanic doesn't have the tool to do that. Does controller require initial programming? Thanks. |

Yes, most control units on 1994 & later cars require programming!
That UNIT will need to be coded by a FACTORY lap-top system!
