After all my utter ramblings about Diff swaps into my 230TE wagon, I have settled on doing it as "log-legged" as possible.
This car will be used on long runs, and I don't need to squeek the tires as it changes gears ;-) ! Soo.. I have a 2.46 diff out of a 380SE on offer to me, and I wish to put it into my 123 wagon. Note the change from sedan to wagon. I'm happy with the ratio change, and all that it entails, but is the diff ACTUALLY going to fit? How much rework might there be? I am told I may need 1/2 shafts as well, but I really don;t know... Thoughts and opinions, especially if you have SEEN these two diffs before and worked on them? MUCHO thanks in advance... >Joe
