Looking at a 1987 190E 2.3

Hello all,

Longtime 300E owner, and we are going to look at a local 1987 190E 2.3 for sale. I just read about a distributor gear on the 190E (dont know which engine) prone to failure and very tough to get at. Can anyone here elaborate on this issue, and any other issues to be aware of with the W201?

Any comments are much appreciated, thanks!
