Hello all:
I'm getting my 16 valve ready for summer driving. Through my own fault, the battery has died since I haven't started the car in about three months. Yesterday, I got the battery re-charged, but when I install and conncect it, the car's alarm goes off. Anything I can do to fix this? Thanks!!

Is it a factory alarm or aftermarket? And also, can you turn the alarm off?
I know for aftermarket alarms, once you disconnect or if your battery dies and you reconnect it, the alarm will go off.

Hook the battery up, lock and unlock the doors.

The alarm is factory original.
I'll try the door locks. Now that I'm thinking about it, when I first hooked up the battery, it wasn't until I opened the doors that the alarm sounded. I'll try it again to see what happens. Thanks!
