My fuel gauge would either be stuck at empty or at full. So I searched for fuel gauge and finally go to enough confidnece to take the sending unit out and clean it. It was slightly disgusting. I have started using biobor as fuel adative a few weeks ago. Will the sludge eventually clean out, or do I need to do something to clean out the fuel tank?
2nd question: The climate control blower comes on intermitantly. When it is on ((sometimes banging the passenger side lower dash) it does blow strong. Do I need to replace the entire blower or can I just replace the brushes and/or someother rebuild procedure? Thanks again for any input. I really love this site. Tref |

Tref,
You have to replace the blower motor. They have bushings in them instead of bearings and they do wear out. The filters will eventually get out the sludge, but I would think that it will take quite a while.

BTW, the fuel gauge is still not working. Do I need to replace the sending unit?
