Question w140 tumbler replacement

This thread is old, but the problem persists. One post talked about a video to show how to take the W140 'ignition' tumbler out... that would be invaluable to me right now!!! the 93 300SD was having problems turning the key, then it solidly refused to turn. I parked it in my yard, and after some time was able to turn it to position 1. There it stays with the battery disconnected until i can get a new tumbler in. If i turn it off now, i fear it would never turn again - that happend to my W123.
Any help would be most appreciated, the video would be awsome.

And, yes, this incredable car is a taxi and all the passengers love it, and miss it now it is off the road.

Bump.

I need to replace my tumbler/lock cylinder. I have the assembly removed and the protective cover off. How do I get the tumbler out of the sleeve?
W140 and apparently the same as R129 - it has a 129 part number.

Well nevermind - it was obvious after all, I thought it might be since no one ever mentioned how they got it out of the protectectve sleeve. Anyway a straight rod (coat hanger) through that little hole below the 462 of the part number pushes back a spring loaded clip and releases it.
