You'll definitely need a new tumbler assembly with a matching key. You can get a used one or get one from the dealer with a key that will match the rest of the car.
You'll have to remove what's left of the old tumbler and hope that whoever hacked the old one out didn't damage the steering lock assembly. It's a very intricate process that's hard to describe without seeing what you're dealing with. Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |

Oh, Oh, Are you like really mechanically inclined?
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Are you married? May need to go ahead and file for the divorce now, save the arguments! ![]() ![]() Enough to drive you to ![]() O.K., enough scaring ya, and spoofing????? They do get into your blood however and antibiotics won't help unless your dispensing them and then you can afford this little hobby! HA! Did you think this was just a car?? NO, it is a hobby! Now, seriously, How did you turn it off when you got it home? If the outer part of the key cylinder is unhurt and they only butchered the core, your lucky. A new key and core is easy enough. But not really cheap. About $100.00 at MB. Go to the buy parts link above, if not in stock you could run a google search. Maybe about 50.00. You may need to take it in if your not mechanically inclined and the car has Air Bags. You pop one of those and your cheap car is now way over priced!!!!!!!!!! ![]() |
