260e Smoking

My 1987 260e has developed a bad problem. I went on a 200 mile road trip and before hand I chnaged the oil with 5qts of Mobile 1 0w40 and 1qt of lucas oil treatment. Myh oil pressure was a little high, 2 at idle when it was usually between 1 and 2. So on the road home people behind me said when I accelerated i wqould get grey smoke and there was a lot of oil all over the back of my car. Little spots all up the back. I was doin 90-100the whole time so the rpms were about 4500-5000. Also, I drove on a lot of gravel, muddy, rocky and washed out roads and i may of hit a few rocks. Any idea what is broke?

Could be a number of things. Have the valve guide seals ever been replaced? How many miles on the engine? Soft valve guide and seals are among the more common problems for oil consumption on your engine. Do a search and you will find a lot of info on this subject.

Is there any oil leaking out of the bottom of the car? Engine or tranny oil hitting the exhaust will do the same thing.

Oil weight could be part of the problem, but you don't give any clue as to where on the planet you are so I don't know what the temps are in your location.
