Its air conditiontioning time.

Hello All I have a 1987 560SEL. The air blows but it does not get cold. I had the climate control replaced last year and it was semi cool but it never really got cold. Are there any suggestions? Thanks

Is the compressor coming on? Low pressure will not allow the compressor to engage. If you don't already have a guage go and get one, the are avalable at the parts store. Plug into the low side and check your pressure. Seems like you may have a leak and very likely since you just had work done on your system. Start the car, turn the AC on full blast, look under the hood and see if the front portion of the compressor pully is turning (be careful and wear eye protection) if it is not then you either have an electrical problem or low system pressure, but more likely low system pressure. Good luck!

do you still have r-12 .... or converted to 134a ?

Look at all the hoses on the AC system under the hood .... at all the connections . Is there any buildup of dirt on any ..... like theres a film of oil thats attracting dust ??
