Engine ID Plate
Hi to all, I found the engine plate, but there are so many sets of numbers I don't know what set to look at. Can anyone help me figure out the plate> Thanks

The engine serial number plate is just one long number (OM for Diesels, M for gas) and is stamped on the intake side of the engine block.
There is a "Data Card" riveted to the radiator support that contains the paint/interior color codes, accessory codes, etc. of what was installed at the factory. On the web, there are many sites that have the explanation for each number. |
