88 Mercedes 190E 8 Valve Stalling
My friends 88 Mercedes 190E was running fine. Drove it to gas station and when trying to leave, the car would start but had no power. It would idle for 10 to 15 seconds and then would shut off. Every attempt to start the same thing happened, car would start for 10 seconds or so and then cut out. FYI: The air cleaner assembly was broken and allowed dirt to enter into the throttle body intake, crankcase vapors from pcv valve have also coated the intake. He has replaced fuel pump, filter, and accumulator so far with no luck starting. He is currently obtaining manual for fuel injection system but he needs car now. Help!
