Flasher relay on 94 w124
Can someone tell me where the flasher relay is located on my 94 e320. It seems to have died (at nearly the same time as the k38 relay) and is making an annoying buzzing whenever the car is on (until a turn signal is engaged, then the buzzing goes away)

I did this swap last summer, so details are foggy...sorry.
The flasher relay is actually a combination relay located by (or in) the fuse box by the driver's side firewall compartment. It's a relatively big puppy (white, I believe), and controls the signals, intermittent wiper delay, and rear defrost if I'm not mistaken. That said, as a combo relay, it's going to cost more than you'd expect for just a flasher...I paid $124 for mine!

I believe you are correct G-Benz.
Skiier, I can send you a picture, etc, from the MB CD if you need it. Cary. |

well, perhaps the flasher relay is not the cause of the problem i'm having: here are the symptoms
the handbrake warning lamp is illuminated there is a moderately soft buzzing whenever the car is on - unless a turn signal is on (then the light goes off). The buzzing gets louder (slightly) when i depress the brake pedal Could this be low brake fluid? I should really get a manual so I know what all the warning lamps indicate. Thanks guys |
