Would you advise me of the month of manufacture of my 1972 350SL VIN10704412003657 and also the fuel injection system model/type.
The car is a recent US import and has the 4.5L motor despite the 350 badging. The engine has a bad miss, which sounds like the ignition leads are on the wrong cylinders.( I have checked & this in not the problem) The car is drivable but under powered. The mixture appears to be rich. I have changed the plugs but this did not solve the problem and also checked the plug leads. Any idea on where to start on finding the fault?Regards Russell. |

The month and year isn't listed on the tag that is on the drivers door frame?
