Brake lights & Door locks

1. Brake lights. For a few days my 2000 ML430 brake lights did not work. I checked the bulbs and fuse - both OK. For some reason they are working again.

2. During the same, but shorter period, my electric door locks made little clicking noises. The clicks would stop when I was underway and locked the doors. This problem also inexplicably fixed itself.

Anyone encountered anything like this? Could something have gotten wet during the automatic car wash?
