When I make a turn the turn signals do not turn off. I pulled the steering wheel and found the little zero mark that lines up the steering shaft is on the bottom and not on the top when the wheels are pointing foward. I think the shaft was installed upside down at some point in time. Is this a diy job or do I send the car to MB If it's a diy how do I do it?

Just drive upside down!
![]() Seriously, yes I would consider this for me, to be a DIY, but my neighbor, who is limited to changing a tire, replacing the battery once in a blue moon, engine oil and filters, spark plugs etc, would not consider this for himself to be a DIY. Do you have tools, time, patience, a good shop manual you can understand? You'd probably save a bundle if you DIY......Maybe there is another way to approach this too! I'd start with a manual and see what's involved. Then maybe you can answer your own question! Haynes automotive repair manual #63030 (698) MB 350 &450 covers the removal of the steering wheel shaft.......Good Luck...BB |
