'92 300SE Inline 6 AC Problem!
Hi, everyone!
I am hoping someone here could point me in the right direction. I have a 92 300SE 6 cylinder and my air conditioning control won't get any air blowing through the vents. I suspect the blower or a relay. In the winter the blower was blowing very weak. When I turn on the air conditioning inside the car, I can hear a drop in revs in the engine indicating that the compressor has been turned on and is working. But I get no air blowing in at all. I've checked the fuse in the trunk and it is O.K. I am mechanically inclined and have fixed various cars before. I don't have a manual so I have no idea where there might be an A/C relay that I can replace/check. Is my blower shot or it is a relay that's failing to start the blower? How do I access the blower and where is it located? I see nothing under the dashboard and nothing in the engine compartment. How hard is it to replace the blower and what should I expect to pay a dealer to do this work? On a different note, My clock light went out and so did the light on the temp display on the left side of the controls inside the cabin. I am wondering if that has anything to do with a relay getting burned out. Thanks for any education on this!! Hot In Utah!
