				Cylinder Head #'s OM603

Been looking at 87 300D's lately and have been wondering about the dreaded cracked head syndrome. Found a nice one with 81K on it and yes they want a HUGE some of cash for it! I know the -14 is the weak head. Where exactly are the numbers cast (or stamped?) Are any -15 or higher numbers OEM from the factory in 87? Thanks much! Clip |

All 86-87 603's came with a 14 afaik. Do a search in the diesel forum this has been gone over many times. I would not let the head number affect my buying decision when looking at a 603.
