overhead console and visor lights n/a
I couldn't find a similar problem in the archives.
On my 1998 C230, all the componenets in my overhead console; lights and sunroof don't work. Also the vanity lights in my sunvisors aren't working. This all came on suddenly and at one time. I am going to check my fuses and relays and search for some grounds and tighten them. Anyone ever have similar problem? |

The problem fixed itself.
I had had the inoperable lights and sunroof for a few days, and probably started the car a few dozen times. Suddenly when I entered my car today the remote seem to work more quickly than it had ( actually I would have to press the key a few times to lock or unlock the door while I had the light and roof issue ) and everything was working. I had changed the upper console bulbs and all my 25A fuses yesterday, but thing still hadn't worked. Today suddenly everything works, so if this problem happens to you wait a while before hitting the dealer. I'll keep you posted if things revert for the worse. |

Believe it or NOT but that dome lamp is a $$$ computer on your car!! Scanners can talk to it. Called the over-head control panel!

only mercedes would stick a $$$$$$$ computer to control a $2.00 light when a $5 switch would do the job better.
