1997 E320 Carb making noise ?
The question I have is, I have a noise coming from the carbarator or what looks like the carbarator that sounds like a rattling noice but it only happens when I take my foot off the accelerator at low speeds there's a silver box on the side of the carbarator can that box make that noise ?

Your car doesn't have a carby, it's fuel injected with an electronic throttle valve actuator, basically the throttle valve is opened via gears and an electronically controlled motor.
The early actuators had a problem where they exceeded production tolerances and caused loud chatter at idle and even stalling issues. If your car isn't stalling or have any other issues I wouldn't be to concerned. You don't want to know how much it's worth

If it is a loud rattle when you take your foot off the gas it could be your chain has slack in it. Get it checked out. Good luck.
