one or two valve cover breather hoses?

I'm going to do the camshaft oil tube replacement in a few weeks, and was told that I should plan on replacing the breather hose(s) that come off the valve covers as well. Apparently the heat of the M119 fossilizes them, and they break when you remove them.

does anyone know how many of these hoses I'll need? The Fastlane says that i'll just need one, but earlier versions of the engine need 2. I don't want to start work and find out that I need more hoses than I've bought.
The car is a 1995 e420, 6/95 production date.
