190e rear shock and thrust arm install.
I have a 93 19e 2.6 Sportline with a bent rear drivers side thrust arm and rear shocks that are shot. Will I need any special tools to replace these parts? I have the basics. I have done struts before and am glad these are just shocks. Both the shocks and the thrust arm look like easy fixes, hopefully looks arent deceiving! Any help would be appreciated.

I am not 100% sure but I believe the sportline had hydraulic shocks in the rear. Anways, no special tools are needed to change the thrust arm or shocks.

I did the rear shocks a couple of weeks ago on my 300E, which has a similar setup to the 190's, I think. My write-up is here:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=119993&highlight=rear+shocks+300e It's pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. I didn't need any special tools for the shocks, don't know about the thrust arms (but it doesn't sound like it). |
